Should you wish to provide comments regarding a matter being considered below, please submit written correspondence to planning@porthope.ca or attend the meeting in person. The personal information contained in your correspondence to the Municipality is collected under the Municipal Act, 2001.  Any personal information you choose to disclose in your correspondence will become part of the public record.

Format of Public Meetings: Public meetings are chaired by a Member of Council appointed as the Portfolio Chair of the Planning and Development Department and will proceed as follows:

  • The applicant or their representative will provide an overview of the application and policy framework review;
  • Municipal Staff will provide an overview of the technical review and public consultation;
  • Members of the public wishing to provide input may do so via written submission sent to planning@porthope.ca or by oral submission. Members of the public who provide an oral submission will be required to provide their name and address, which will become part of the public record; and,
  • The Chair may call on the applicant and/or staff to provide clarification on matters raised by members of the public.

The Office of the Clerk captures all feedback received during a public meeting in minutes to provide a written record for Staff and Council of the public meeting.

The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment application is being requested to consider an application to amend Zoning By-law 20/2010 (File # ZB01-2024), submitted by EcoVue Consulting Services Inc. on behalf of the owner LBD Holdings Ltd. (Brenbrooke Homes), for lands municipally known as 276-282 Victoria Street North within the Urban Area of the Municipality of Port Hope.
